The approach to teaching artistic painting in New Zealand schools has remained relatively consistent over the past three decades. This collection of four documentaries was produced by Auckland Art College in the 1980s in collaboration with FAS - Fine Art Supplies Ltd. The instructional materials utilised during filming included FAS Super Tempera and FAS Student Acrylic.


This VHS video was given to all primary school teacher graduates in the 1980s.


While the visual elements and styles may appear somewhat dated, the fundamental teaching concepts and skills have endured without significant changes.
